Upgrade to Windows 11 Near Delhi: Compatibility, TPM and Tips

With Windows 10 past its end of support, many laptop owners in Delhi are planning an upgrade to Windows 11. Some laptops upgrade in a few clicks; others need BIOS changes, driver updates or hardware improvements first. Here is what to check and how our Gwal Pahari, Gurugram workshop can help.

Windows 11 requirements in plain English

• Processor: a supported, relatively recent Intel or AMD chip.
• TPM 2.0: a security chip, often built into the processor.
• UEFI and Secure Boot: modern boot settings.
• RAM: at least 4GB (8GB or more recommended for comfortable use).
• Storage: at least 64GB (an SSD makes a big difference).

TPM and Secure Boot: often just switched off

Many compatible laptops show as "not compatible" because TPM (sometimes called Intel PTT or AMD fTPM) or Secure Boot is disabled in BIOS. Enabling them can make the laptop eligible. Changing BIOS settings should be done carefully — especially switching from Legacy to UEFI mode, which can stop Windows booting if done incorrectly.

1. Back up your files.
2. Check your printer, scanner and key apps support Windows 11.
3. Update BIOS and drivers.
4. Free up at least 25–30GB of space.

Will Windows 11 run well on my laptop?
