FixMyTech Laptop Services (“FixMyTech”, “we”), Shop No. 71 New, Gwal Pahari, Haryana 122003, India, is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through fixmytech.in, as defined in India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

  • Repair & contact forms: name, mobile number, email (optional), city, laptop brand/model, problem details, service preferences and any photo you upload.
  • Repair records: status updates, diagnosis notes and quotations linked to your enquiry ID.
  • Marketing attribution: the campaign or website that referred you (for example utm_source=google). This is linked to your enquiry so we know which advertising works. It never includes your name or contact details.
  • Website usage: anonymous, aggregated page-view counts. We do not store your IP address for analytics. See our Cookie Policy.

We only ask for information needed to respond to your request.

Why we use it (purpose)

  • To respond to your repair request or enquiry and contact you by your preferred method.
  • To diagnose, quote, repair and update you on your device.
  • To let you track your repair with your enquiry ID and mobile number.
  • To keep service and warranty records.
  • With your consent, to measure our website and advertising performance.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not place your name, phone number or email in analytics or advertising tools.

Consent

By submitting a form you consent to this processing. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this does not affect processing already carried out. Cookie consent can be changed any time via Cookie settings in the website footer.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the business (for example web hosting, email delivery, and — if you consent — analytics and advertising platforms such as Google and Meta), and only as needed. [List any other processors, e.g. parts suppliers, courier.]

How long we keep it

Closed enquiries are deleted automatically after the retention period set by the business (default 2 years) unless we must keep them longer by law. Anonymous analytics are kept for about 13 months.

Security

Enquiries are stored in a secured database. Only authorised staff can see customer contact details, every access is logged, and uploaded photos are not publicly accessible.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to:

  1. Access a summary of your personal data and how it is used.
  2. Correct or update inaccurate data.
  3. Erase your data when it is no longer needed.
  4. Withdraw consent.
  5. Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
  6. Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

How to make a request

Contact us by phone on 085950 05049 or by email at [privacy email], quoting your enquiry ID if you have one. We verify your identity using your registered mobile number before acting, and respond within 30 days.
